I come from Mandalay, where my passion for education, civic engagement, and cross-cultural collaboration has shaped my academic and professional journey. I hold a BA (Honours) in English from Yadanabon University, where I first discovered the power of language and communication in fostering understanding and promoting social change. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Management at Universitas Airlangga in Indonesia, with a research focus on human resource management and organizational behavior. Beginning in January 2025, I am spending an exchange semester through Erasmus+ at Palacký University Olomouc. During the final three months of my stay in Olomouc, from May to July, I am undertaking an internship with the Myanmar Studies Center (MSC).
My early career began at the Institute for Political and Civic Engagement (iPACE), where I honed my research, teamwork, and communication skills by collaborating on projects and presenting findings in dynamic team environments. This experience expanded my professional network and deepened my commitment to fostering civic participation and promoting policy awareness in my community.
Later, as an External Affairs Officer at Yadanabon University’s Interim Education Council, I gained valuable experience in management and outreach. I was responsible for organizing community events, executing successful fundraising initiatives, and building strategic partnerships. These roles helped me develop strong organizational and leadership skills, while also teaching me to adapt quickly to new challenges.
I am the author of several articles; the full list is available here: https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Thant-Khant-2/publications.
During my internship, I am eager to share insights from Myanmar’s education sector, learn from diverse perspectives, and collaborate on projects that foster mutual understanding and drive positive change.
